IN PROGRESS...
The Santillán family has had a long lineage of seers and healers. For centuries, a path has been laid out for each member of the family, which has impacted the world in a great number of ways. Macaria, Maiara, and Genevieve Santillán (mother, daughter, and granddaughter) are the last in the lineage of a dying world. Each of these women are born nineteen years apart, with a caul, under a full moon, and on the eve of the Spring Equinox, which bestows a peculiar gift unto each of them: Macaria can see the death of each person whose eyes she stares into, Maiara sees the true life of anyone she touches, and Genevieve becomes a healer, who sees the truth in all things and in all people through her visions of past, present, and future. Could this be an attempt by a divine entity to save humanity?

The Ninth Planisphere is a story that tells of the lives of these three women—along with six others whose lives they’ve touched—as they each struggle to come to terms with their gifts and better understand how their gifts will not only aid them in their individual lives but also help others to understand their own humanity. Just as a planisphere is a star chart that allows someone to clearly see a portion of the sky above at any given point and time, each of the nine narrators of this story provides a portion of clear insight into the world around them and allows them to right wrongs. The ultimate discovery occurs when the visibility of a failing world begins to line up and unveil the truth of the universe.
